Finding Time for Everything Else

Father’s Day.

It was the first time that we actually planned a surprise thing for my Dad. He really thought at first that we all forgot about him and that we don’t really care about Father’s Day. 

He asked my Ate yesterday: “Hindi niyo man lang ba ako papakainin kahit sa Jollibee man lang?”

Ate: “Pasensya na Da, aalis kame bukas eh.”

Then this morning, I asked permission: “Da, I have to go to our meeting. Pero di naman ako magtatagal, babalik ako agad after lunch.” (but in reality, I was going to pick up the cake from Estrel’s)

So after I left the house, Mom said that my Dad went straight to bed, pretending that he had a head ache and that he said he just wants to sleep all day. In short, nagtampo. Hehehe! 

Then I texted him saying, “Da, hindi na ko tutuloy sa meeting ko, lakas ng ulan eh. Kita na lang tayo ni Mama sa SM. Bihis na kayo, pabalik na ko”

He immediately replied, Okay. 

Then when I met them, Ate and the kids are already at President’s Tea House. He was so surprised when he saw that the kids are already there. Medyo teary-eyed pa nga siya nung dinala ko sila sa restaurant. Haha :) Fun day!
